Sitting in a tent at Stradbally, speaking with people about what is next after the marriage referendum is always a good Friday night! At Electric Picnic this year, we gathered up a panel of people involved in the referendum to talk about equality. This was the start of our new project Up for Equality, where we are asking Irish people to continue the conversations about equality.

Hosted by my sister and theatre maker Oonagh Murphy, we were joined by Una Mullally, Yvonne Judge and Noel Whelan who were all involved with the Yes campaign. It was a chat about what worked, what didn't work and could the immense energy of campaigning in the referendum ever be repeated. The consensus was there was an opportunity and nods from the audience suggested that there is an appetite to maintain our engagement as citizens.

The key question asked by Willie White, was "so, what next?" What will be the topic of interest, the issue we should talk more about and bring about change in? This is the question we have been putting to our members at StandUpforEquality.org. If you would like to cast your vote, simply choose a topic below which will help us develop stories and events in the coming months.
